Lisa Hsi

Ms. Lisa Hsi currently serves as the Director of Business Department of the Central Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC).

She is responsible for handling deposit insurance business including the operation of the risk-based premium system, adjusting the limit and scope of coverage and related policy research. Ms. Hsi has 30-year extensive experience in deposit insurance. In her capacity, she has taken part in several rounds of reforms of the deposit insurance system in Taiwan, such as law amendments, coverage and premium schemes adjustments, and the implementation of the transition from a blanket guarantee to a limited deposit insurance system.

Ms. Hsi has several publications on deposit insurance and banking supervision, and many were awarded by the Ministry of Finance and the Executive Yuan (the Cabinet). She was also the “CDIC’s Outstanding Employee of the Year” in 2004, the “Outstanding Financial Practitioner of the Ministry of Finance” in 2007 and the “Outstanding Financial Practitioner of the Financial Supervisory Commission” in 2022 in Taiwan.

Prior to joining the CDIC, Ms. Hsi served as a financial analyst of the credit card center at Taipei branch of Citibank. In that position, she was responsible for controlling budget and creating profit center system.

Ms. Hsi obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Taiwan and the Master’s degree in Finance from St. John’s University, New York, in U.S.A.
