Mr. Lopez is a Lead Core Principles Expert, and Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Analyst in the IADI Secretariat. He has over 12 years of experience on the deposit insurance and financial stability field.

Before arriving to the IADI Secretariat, Mr. Lopez worked for the Financial Institutions Guarantee Fund in Colombia, where he led multiple projects on key deposit insurance design features such as public awareness, relationship with other safety-net members, and crisis management and communication.

Mr. Lopez holds an MBA from Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada), and a BS in finance and foreign affairs from Universidad Externado (Bogota, Colombia).
